It's my week off right now. I earned this week off. I more than likely won't ever go into the details, but it's been a challenge this past six or so months. What is "it's"? it knows what it's is.
I've restarted reading a book last week. I started it in 2007. Yeah I know.
It's a challenging read explaining the world on the quantum scale. I don't have much of a background on quantum mechanics, or the theory of relativity, or even how Newton used a bucket to explain relativity. I also didn't really know space and time in relation to reality.
It's taking me a while, but when I'm done I may be able to hold the power of the universe in my mind; or at least be able to describe the book. I was asked what the book was about the other day and I had a tough time doing it. It made me feel truly dumb, but it was too difficult. How can you summarize what is turning into a scientific grudge match within physics. With some believing the universe is random and chaotic and others who feel that the universe is relative. But then what about the differences between our universe and the quantum one? And I'm not even half-way through! Who know what else will be thrown my way? Ugh.
I am trying to wrap my head around the quantum universe and I feel dumb because I can't explain a book.
I love that it has notes and a glossary.
